Widespread Relief
Supporting & empowering communities through practical help, guidance, and inclusive events.
About us
Founded eight years ago, Widespread Relief is a non-profit community organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering people within our local communities. Our mission is simple: to provide practical support, guidance, and opportunities that help individuals and families reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Since our establishment, we have worked tirelessly to make a positive difference by assisting people in a variety of ways. Our support includes career development, CV writing and interview preparation, back to work engagement, business support and mentoring, sports and wellbeing initiatives, and connecting individuals with opportunities that can improve their personal and professional lives.
We believe that strong communities are built through collaboration, inclusion, and mutual support. By bringing people together and providing access to valuable resources, we aim to create opportunities that inspire confidence, growth, and long-term success.
Our impact
8+ years of community work, hundreds of individuals supported, and a growing network of partners and volunteers.

Annual Community Event
One of the highlights of our work is our Annual Community Event, which has become a much-anticipated celebration of togetherness and community spirit. With the generous support of our sponsors and volunteers, this event is completely free for everyone to attend and enjoy.
Each year, families and residents from across the community come together to enjoy a wide range of activities and attractions, including:
- Inflatables & children's activities
- World foods & cultural experiences
- Face painting
- Mascot appearances
- Refreshments & drinks
- Henna art
- Live music & entertainment
- Donkey rides
- Community stalls & information stands
Our annual event is designed to promote unity, celebrate diversity, and create lasting memories for people of all ages. By removing financial barriers and ensuring all activities are free, we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and connected.
